Knight of the Grand Cross, John the Baptist Le Duc Thinh, and his team recently visited Kon Tum Province on January 13 and 14. The delegation met with the Provincial Police, the People’s Committee of Sa Thay District, the Bishop of Kon Tum Diocese, and the Miracle Image Congregation.

During the visit to the Provincial Police, the Knight of the Grand Cross shared his commitment to spreading the Catholic faith through charitable actions, maintaining security, and ensuring social safety.
“The mission of a soldier is to protect the borders as one would protect their own flesh and blood. Similarly, the duty of a Catholic is to shine their faith through actions that serve the happiness of the people,” stated the Knight of the Grand Cross.
Colonel Vo Chi Cuong expressed gratitude to the Knight of the Grand Cross and his associates for their numerous charitable activities and efforts to encourage ethnic minorities and parishioners to comply with laws and policies. He noted that these contributions are significant in supporting the economic lives of the locals and in maintaining security and social order in Kon Tum. Colonel Cuong expressed his confidence that the Knight of the Grand Cross would continue to leverage his reputation and patriotism to encourage the local Catholic community to unite in building their homeland and protecting the country.
During his visit to Sa Thay District, Knight John the Baptist Le Duc Thinh shared insights about accompanying the nation in building Vietnam under the guidance of Pope Francis. He expressed his belief that the local Catholic community in Sa Thay is now better positioned to make meaningful contributions to the development of their homeland.

Bishop of Sa Thay District, Nguyen Minh Tuan, expressed sincere thanks to the Knight of the Grand Cross for collaborating with local authorities in supporting residents to develop economically, reduce poverty, and eliminate outdated customs. He emphasized that the Knight and his associates have greatly assisted the community in improving their lives and enhancing national unity to effectively implement socio-economic development policies and maintain security in the area.

After these activities, Knight John the Baptist Le Duc Thinh visited and extended New Year greetings to Bishop Aloisius Nguyen Hung Vi of the Kon Tum Diocese. He and his associates also visited and presented New Year gifts to a shelter, providing support to orphans and underprivileged ethnic minority students at the Miracle Image Congregation. They also extended New Year wishes to retired nuns at the congregation.
